About Us
Department of Hindi started with the establishment of the Institute in year 1973, and after five years i.e. in 1978 Post Graduate course was started. Dr. Krishna Gopal Gupta served as its first Head of Department followed by Dr B. N. P Shukla and Dr. Surendra Mani Tripathi, respectively. Presently, Prof. Radhey Shyam Singh an eminent academician is Head of the Department. He is Chief Editor of the yearly Institute Magazine “VIMARSH”. The Department is working both effectively and efficiently under his headship along with Prof. Pratima Singh, Pawan Kr. Rawat and Dr. Priya Shrivastava.
Till date, over all 40 (Forty) research scholars have been awarded with Doctorate degree under the auspicious guidance of former and present Faculty members i.e. Dr. B. N. P. Shukla (13 Ph.D.), Dr. S. M. Tripathi (5 Ph.D.) and Prof. Radhey Shyam Singh (13 Ph.D.). Many Students of the Department are working in academics as Assistant/Professors. The Department also has a resourceful Departmental Library.
