About Us
The Department of English has been conducting post graduate classes since the very inception of the Institute in 1974. Headed by Mrs. I. Rahman and Dr. Haseen Ahmad English Department is being led by Prof. Vijai Pratap Singh, a versatile and scholarly person. Students aspiring for Higher education with English have the first preference for the Institute. The Department enlightens the students by organizing scholarly guest lectures and national seminars apart from the regular teaching. Students of the Department are among the toppers of the University. The Department actively participates in publications and National seminars organized by different Universities. The Department also provides research and NET guidance facility for the students. Books edited by Prof. Vijai Pratap Singh and Dr. Sunita Rai and quality research papers published by Dr. Raj Kumar Mishra enrich the ambience of the Department. To enhance the versatility of the students the Department organizes various extracurricular activities. Dr Vijai Pratap Singh along with academic activities renders administrative services to the college and University regularly.
